The destructive power of water is unlike that of any other natural element, yet so many people tend to underestimate it.

If you’ve ever been faced with a sudden surge of water, whether from a burst pipe or raging storm, then you know just how overwhelming it can be.

The residents and businesses in Grand Junction and the surrounding area are not immune to that kind of damage and that’s why they need a name they can trust for water damage repair and restoration.

For many in Grand Junction there is no one better to turn to than the professionals at SERVPRO.

When you consider the beautiful natural surroundings of the Grand Junction area, complete with picturesque mountains, ski trails and resorts, it can be difficult to imagine the threat of water related emergencies.

There are many thriving businesses here like the Aspen Science Center and the many outdoor activities draw in thousands of tourists every year.

Unfortunately, the winter weather also brings with it the danger of storms and flooding. As part of this vibrant community, SERVPRO understands the challenges presented by winter storms as well as other unforeseen water related emergencies and we’re ready to respond 24/7 to help get the restoration process started as quickly as possible.

We have cutting edge training and use the latest techniques and state-of-the-art equipment to tackle every water damage restoration job so that the customer can breathe easier.

Our restoration and repair process is thorough and we make sure to keep you informed at every step along the way so that you always feel a part of it.

That’s important to us since we go out of our way to treat every property as if it were our own.

With that in mind, while every individual situation presents its own unique challenges, we employ the same basic restoration process for each job:

  1. Initial Contact – The process always begins with your initial call. We have operators ready to take your call 24/7 because we know that disaster can strike at any time and speed is essential. We also understand that that initial call can be traumatic and stressful and we’ll do everything we can to make it easier on you. We’ll ask specific questions that will help us to determine the equipment and resources we’ll need to handle your job so we won’t have to waste any time in responding and getting the restoration underway.

  2. Inspection and Water Damage Assessment – We’ll have a technician on site within four hours of your call and they’ll begin by performing a thorough inspection of your property. We’ll need to determine the source of the problem and ensure that it has been stopped, then we’ll examine the water to identify the type and the extent of the damage. It’s important to understand that not all water is the same and the level of contamination can determine the exact steps that will be needed to complete the restoration. We’ll also check for any safety concerns that may need to be addressed before work can begin and we’ll move any furniture or other items to prevent rust or stains on carpeting and flooring.

  3. Removal/Extraction – Once the amount of damage has been determined, the process of removing or extracting the water can begin. If the restoration process will be extensive, SERVPRO can help you to perform an organized and efficient moving process in order to protect your belongings from any further damage. With the area cleared, we can then remove any standing water using submersible pumps and industrial grade wet/dry vacuums. Other equipment, including moisture detectors and hygrometers, can be used to measure the extent of moisture both on surfaces and in the air while infrared cameras are used to detect any “hidden” water behind walls or in ceilings. It is extremely important that every bit of moisture be detected and removed in order to mitigate damage.

  4. Drying/Dehumidification – Removing the water is only the first step. Once it is gone, we’ll use industrial grade air movers and dehumidifiers to ensure that all moisture is completely removed from the affected area and surrounding rooms. This part of the process is also important to help avoid warping of floors, walls and furniture. Using moisture meters, we’ll carefully monitor the progress until we are satisfied that the humidity and moisture levels have returned to a safe level.

  5. Cleaning/Sanitizing – Water can leave behind a dirty mess, especially if it is determined to be heavily contaminated. Once everything has been thoroughly dried, we’ll clean the entire structure as well as any furniture, upholstery, clothing or restorable belongings that have been damaged by the water. Our cleaning services are part of our “restore” vs. “replace” mentality, geared toward saving you money in the long run. Of course, water damage can also result in unpleasant and sometimes hazardous odors, so we’ll also use air scrubbers and fogging equipment to help remove any lingering odors while simultaneously applying antimicrobial, antibacterial and disinfectant treatments to sanitize all surfaces. We’ll also help to dispose of any items that you or your insurance adjuster deem to be unsalvageable.

  6. Restoration – Some repair and reconstruction may be necessary to complete the process of returning your property to its previous state. This may include drywall removal and installation, hardwood or tile floor repair, painting or carpet repair and installation. At SERVPRO, we understand that having one company perform the entire process can be both time and cost saving and that’s why we’re prepared to take you through every step with the quality services you expect.

Don’t Settle For Second Best

No matter what the cause, water damage to your property can be traumatic and if you find yourself dealing with this type of situation you want to be sure you’re getting the best help possible.

You might think you can handle bailing out and drying off on your own, but it’s always a good idea to trust the professionals, especially when you consider all of the potential dangers that water can contain.

The professionals of SERVPRO understand those dangers and we’re prepared to deal with them in an efficient and timely manner.

Our thorough, step-by-step process is designed to ensure that your property is fully restored to its previous condition and handled with the utmost care so that you can rest easier knowing you’re in good hands.

We’ll even go the extra mile to help you prepare to file your insurance claim so that you can get the compensation you deserve.

We know that the immediate aftermath of an emergency can be stressful and that the healing can only begin once the restoration process is over, so we’ll be there with you every step of the way to make it as easy as possible for you.

Ready To Make You Whole Again

SERVPRO always takes a “restore first” approach because we understand how important it is for you to feel whole again after disaster strikes.

But it’s about more than just restoring your property.

We’re part of this local community ourselves so helping our neighbors means everything to us. Restoring one part of the community helps to make us all stronger and that’s the most important thing we can do.

We also know how far reaching that water damage can actually be and trying to replace everything you lost in a flood or other water emergency can be an extremely costly prospect. In order to maximize your compensation, you’ll need to provide a thorough inventory to your insurance company, which can be an overwhelming job.

SERVPRO can help you there too by taking a thorough inventory as we go along, so that you have the basis you need to file your claim.

When water starts flowing it can be impossible to stop the surge, but you don’t have to be in over your head if you know who to call for help.

The professionals at SERVPRO are trained to handle any type of water damage restoration and make your property look "Like it never even happened."

So don’t feel that you have to battle the flood or its aftermath by yourself.

Call SERVPRO today and we’ll get you on the road to healing.
